1. What cookies are

In addition to cookies proper, the Fiemme Fassa Appartments Site, owned by Thomas Deflorian, may use similar technologies (e.g. local storage, tracking pixels), which are treated, for the purposes of this policy, as cookies to all intents and purposes.

3.1 Technical / necessary cookies (consent not required)

These are cookies essential for the Site to function correctly, or necessary to provide the service explicitly requested by the user. This category includes, for example:

technical cookies provided by the Hostinger platform (on which the Site is built and hosted), necessary for the basic functioning of the pages, security, and management of the cookie banner itself (to remember the preferences expressed by the user);

any load-balancing or security cookies (e.g. anti-spam protection in contact forms, where present).

These cookies cannot be disabled via the banner, as they are strictly necessary to provide the service; they can, however, be blocked by changing your browser settings, with the risk that some features of the Site may not work correctly.

3.2 Statistical/analytics cookies (require consent, if active)

If enabled via the cookie banner, these cookies collect aggregate information on the number of users and how they visit the Site, for optimisation purposes. If the Site uses the statistical tools made available by Hostinger (or third-party analytics tools), such cookies fall within this category and are activated only with the user's express consent via the relevant banner.

3.3 Third-party cookies/services integrated into the Site

The Site integrates content and resources delivered by third-party domains, which may involve the transmission of data (including the IP address) to their servers, even in the absence of an actual cookie:

Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) – used to load the Site's typefaces. Loading this resource involves connecting to Google LLC's servers. For information: policies.google.com/privacy;

CARTO / OpenStreetMap (basemaps.cartocdn.com, openstreetmap.org) – used to display the interactive maps present on the Site (where present). Loading the map "tiles" involves connecting to these providers' servers;

unpkg.com – CDN used to load software libraries (e.g. Leaflet) needed for the interactive maps to work;

Krossbooking (thomasdeflorian.kross.travel) – external booking engine. This is not a cookie of the Site: when the user clicks a booking/apartment-detail button, they are redirected to an external, independent domain, which sets its own cookies according to its own cookie policy, not controlled or managed by the Controller of this Site. Users are invited to review Krossbooking's cookie policy directly once redirected.

3.4 Profiling/marketing cookies

The Site currently does not use its own profiling or marketing cookies (e.g. advertising pixels, remarketing). Should such tools be introduced in the future (e.g. Meta Pixel, Google Ads), this Cookie Policy will be promptly updated and consent will be requested via the relevant banner before such cookies are activated.

4. Managing consent via the banner

On first visiting the Site, users see a banner that allows them to: accept all non-necessary cookies; reject all non-necessary cookies, while continuing to browse with only technical cookies active; customise their preferences by category (e.g. statistical, marketing), where this option is available.

In the absence of explicit consent, no statistical or profiling cookies are activated, in accordance with the Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority on cookies and other tracking tools (9 July 2021, and subsequent updates).

6. Cookie duration

Technical and consent cookies generally last a maximum of 12 months, unless otherwise indicated when they are set. Session cookies are automatically deleted when the browser is closed. For the specific duration of cookies set by third parties (Google, CARTO/OpenStreetMap, Krossbooking), please refer to their respective cookie policies, which may vary independently of the Site Controller's wishes.

7. Legal basis

Processing carried out via technical cookies is based on the need to provide the service requested by the user (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) and on the Controller's legitimate interest in ensuring the security of the Site (Art. 6.1.f GDPR). Processing carried out via statistical and profiling cookies, where activated, is based exclusively on the user's free and informed consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), which can be withdrawn at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

9. Changes to this Cookie Policy

The Controller reserves the right to make changes and additions to this Cookie Policy, including as a result of regulatory changes or the introduction of new tools/cookies on the Site. Users are invited to check this page periodically.
